    Directions:

    From I-70, take exit 346 for Carlson Rd. Turn North onto NW Carlson Road and continue for approx. 3 miles. Turn left onto Willard Road and continue for one mile. Look for signs. The Willard Bridge is just past the Miller Ranch road.

     

    There will be a horse and human massage therapist available at the Miller Ranch race this weekend.  She is available to work on equine patients and human alike. 

     

    Do not attempt to come in via Hwy 24. The Willard Bridge is only currently rated for 9 tons due to corrosion issues. It is not recommended to cross this bridge with your truck and trailer. More information here:

    From the East (I-70 to Hwy 24 to Hwy 4):
    From Interstate 70 West take exit 197 for KS-10 toward Lecompton/Lawrence. Turn right onto E 850 Rd (0.2 mi ). Turn left onto Co Rd 438/N 1800 Rd (2.7 mi ). Continue onto Co Rd 1029/E 600 Rd. (4.2 mi). Continue onto S Lecompton Rd (1.1 mi ). Turn left onto US-24 W (11.6 mi ). Take the KS-4 E exit toward Valley Falls. (495 ft ). Turn right onto KS-4 E/NE Sherman Rd (1.8 mi). Turn right onto NE 39th St. R Bar B will be on the left.

     

     

    From the West (I-70 to Hwy 24 to Hwy 4):
    From Interstate 70 take exit 358 to merge onto US-75 N (1.6 mi). Merge onto US-24 E via the ramp to Lawrence.
    Take the KS-4 E exit toward Valley Falls. (495 ft ). Turn right onto KS-4 E/NE Sherman Rd (1.8 mi). Turn right onto NE 39th St. R Bar B will be on the left.

     

    From the South (Hwy75 to Hwy 4):
    From US-75 N continue onto I-470 W/US-75 N (4.8 mi). Take exit 1A to merge onto I-70 E/US-40 E/US-75 N toward Kansas City (2.4 mi ). Take exit 358 to merge onto US-75 N (1.6 mi ). Merge onto US-24 E via the ramp to Lawrence (7.1 mi ). Take the KS-4 E exit toward Valley Falls. (495 ft ). Turn right onto KS-4 E/NE Sherman Rd (1.8 mi).     Von Holten Ranch

    18 miles of scenic trail in the rolling hills of Central Missouri. Enjoy the mix of forest, prairies and natural creeks. All trails are color coded and trimmed. Shoes are recommended.

    Every horse must be stalled. Only one horse per stall. No picket lines, portable pens, or tying to your trailer over night.


    A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all reservations. This must be made within 7 days of making your reservation. The remaining balance is due upon check in.


    Pets must be on a leash at all times and barking must be kept to a minimum. You must clean up after your pet and they are not allowed on the trails.


    Directions: 

    From Kansas City: Take I-70 East to Sedalia Exit (78A). Go through Sedalia on Hwy 65 South, turn East on Hwy V (left), go through 4-way stop sign and turn South on Renken Road (3rd road on right after stop sign), turn East (left) on Pacific School Road, follow until you arrive at Von Holten Ranch on left.

    Big River Ranch is a family-owned and operated facility providing 2100 acres of beautiful land for families and individuals to enjoy on horseback. They currently offer 50 miles of cut trails for the novice or extreme rider and those who fall in between. For campers they offer electric and water hookups, clean, sparkling restrooms, showers and  free wireless internet service.

    **All horses entering the Big River Ranch must have a negative, up to date Coggins test.**

     

    All visitors must register at the office located inside the Event Barn.

    Dogs are welcome, but must stay at campsite/trailers on a leash.

     

    DIRECTIONS:

    From Kansas City, take I-70 E to exit 37B toward Wellington/Odessa/Missouri 131.Keep left at the fork and merge onto Old U.S. 40 (.4 miles). Turn left onto MO-131 N (8.4 miles). Turn right onto US-24 E (8.9 miles). Turn left onto MO-224 W (482 ft). Take the 1st right onto Goodloe Orchard Rd. Big River Ranch will be on the left (1.6 miles).

    Exit at Emporia and take US Hwy. 50 west 17 miles to Strong City.
       
    Driving from Manhattan/Council Grove:  
    Take KS Hwy. 177 south to Strong City.
       
    Driving from El Dorado/Wichita: 
    Exit the Turnpike at Cassoday and take KS Hwy. 177 North 25 miles to Strong City.
