    THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 31!

     

    Big River Ranch is a family-owned and operated facility providing 2100 acres of beautiful land for families and individuals to enjoy on horseback. They currently offer 50 miles of cut trails for the novice or extreme rider and those who fall in between. For campers they offer electric and water hookups, clean, sparkling restrooms, showers and  free wireless internet service.

    Registration opens at 7:30 am
    Walk –through on Low Impact Course at 8:30, immediately  followed by High Impact Course.  Second walk through for Colt, Classic and Open after 12:00 pm.

     

    Concessions available: Yes
    Camping available: Yes, Primitive ($20/night)  and Hookups (see below)
    Electric and water hookups available: Yes, $30/night; Includes electric and water
    Stalls/Pens available: Yes, Stalls $15/night; Pens $5/night, limited number available  (8X8, 10X10).

    All riders and campers are welcome to enjoy the trails during the event--no additional fees.

     

    After the Awards, stay for a BBQ Supper!*

    Reservations Requried!! Call or e-mail Big River Ranch to hold your plate.  *Subject to a sufficent number of reservations.

                                   

    All horses entering the Big River Ranch must have a negative, up to date Coggins test.

     

    All visitors must register at the office located inside the Event Barn.
    Print and sign liability release prior to your arrival: BRR Liability Release Agreement   

     

    Dogs are welcome, but must stay at campsite/trailers on a leash.

     

    DIRECTIONS:

    From Kansas City, take I-70 E to exit 37B toward Wellington/Odessa/Missouri 131.Keep left at the fork and merge onto Old U.S. 40 (.4 miles). Turn left onto MO-131 N (8.4 miles). Turn right onto US-24 E (8.9 miles). Turn left onto MO-224 W (482 ft). Take the 1st right onto Goodloe Orchard Rd. Big River Ranch will be on the left (1.6 miles).

    Driving From Topeka/Kansas City: 
    Exit at Emporia and take US Hwy. 50 west 17 miles to Strong City.
       
    Driving from Manhattan/Council Grove:  
    Take KS Hwy. 177 south to Strong City.
       
    Driving from El Dorado/Wichita: 
    Exit the Turnpike at Cassoday and take KS Hwy. 177 North 25 miles to Strong City.
